The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Friday paid a condolence visit to Pastor and Mrs Shyngle Wigwe, parents of the late Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc and Group Managing Director of Access Bank Plc, Dr Herbert Wigwe.
Wigwe, along with his wife, Doreen and son, Chizi, died last Friday, February 9, 2024, in a helicopter accident in the United States.
A former chairman of the Nigeria Stock Exchange, Abimbola Ogunbanjo, also died in the crash.
United States authorities said preliminary reports suggested that a wintry weather condition contributed to the crash.
Pastor and Mrs. Shyngle Wigwe are said to be members of the RCCG, City of David, Lagos.
A post on Adeboye’s verified Facebook page on Friday reads, “In heartfelt solidarity, a visit filled with warmth offering condolences to Pastor and Mrs. Shyngle Wigwe on the loss of their beloved son, his wife and grandson who passed away over the weekend.
“May his memory be a source of comfort in these difficult times to the family and RCCG City of David Family in Jesus name,” the post read.
