Chukwuma Soludo, governor of Anambra, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja.
It was their first meeting since Soludo’s re-election.
In the November 8 Anambra governorship election, Soludo polled 422,664 votes, while Nicholas Ukachukwu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, placed second with 99,445 votes.
In a statement after the visit, Soludo described Tinubu as his “dear friend and brother of over 22 years”.
He said the president received him with “his usual warmth, big smile, and open arms”, adding that Tinubu also congratulated him on the “resounding mandate” handed to him by the people of Anambra.
