“We will hunt them down and make them pay,” President Bola Tinubu has delivered a fierce warning to the gunmen responsible for the brutal attacks on innocent communities in Plateau State, pledging that they will face severe punishment under the law.
In a strongly worded statement, President Tinubu condemned the mindless slaughter of citizens in Ruwi, Hurti, and Tadai communities in Bokkos Local Government, as well as the tragic bloodshed in Manguna and Dafo villages.
He vowed to bring the monsters responsible to justice, promising that no stone will be left unturned in tracking down the attackers.
“This senseless violence will not go unpunished,” the President declared. “I have ordered our security agencies to track down these criminals and ensure they are brought to justice swiftly. They will face the full wrath of the law!”
Tinubu also extended his deepest condolences to the heartbroken families of the victims, offering his unwavering support to the Plateau State Government and Governor Caleb Mutfwang.
He urged the affected communities to join hands with authorities and security agencies, calling on them to step forward and provide vital information that could lead to the capture of the perpetrators and help restore peace to the region.
“We will not let the blood of innocent Nigerians be spilled in vain,” President Tinubu emphasized, reassuring Governor Mutfwang that his administration stands ready to stamp out this wave of violence and ensure peace returns to the Plateau.
In addition to the calls for justice, the President ordered the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to collaborate with the Plateau State authorities to provide immediate relief to the victims, ensuring that both the injured and affected communities receive the support they need to recover.
He emphasized that rebuilding efforts would be closely monitored to ensure affected communities regain their stability as soon as possible.
“These intermittent attacks on our citizens are unacceptable, and we will work tirelessly to rid our country of these evil forces,” President Tinubu said, reiterating that such acts of violence should have no place in a nation committed to peace and order.
“This tragedy will only fuel our determination to protect every Nigerian citizen.”
As the President’s message echoed through the nation, he called on all Nigerians to stand united in the face of such senseless brutality, emphasizing that “No community should have to endure such suffering.”
He urged citizens to reject any form of retaliation, and instead, work together to foster peace and stability across the country.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families affected by this attack. We must stand together as one people, regardless of our differences, and uphold the shared humanity that binds us all,” President Tinubu concluded.
