President Bola Tinubu has extended warm wishes to veteran Fuji musician Adewale Ayuba as he marks his 60th birthday today, March 25.
In a statement on Tuesday, presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga lauded Ayuba’s immense contributions to Nigeria’s Fuji music genre, recognizing him as a cultural icon whose work has resonated with generations of Nigerians.
Since debuting as a Fuji singer at just 17, Ayuba has built a lasting legacy, earning the title of Bonsue Fuji King. Widely known as Mr. Johnson, he has remained a staple of the Nigerian music and social scene for decades. His 1991 album Bubble was a groundbreaking success, winning multiple awards and dominating the music charts for months.
