Independent National Electoral Commission on Tuesday released the final list of candidates eligible to contest the 2023 presidential election.
NEC had in June released the particulars of presidential candidates and their running mates.
But on Tuesday, INEC published the final list of the presidential candidates. The list contains names of the candidates and their qualifications.
While Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress presented a Bachelor of Science degree, his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, presented General Certificate of Education (GCE).
But Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party presented Master’s degree, while his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa, presented MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) degree.
Labour Party presidential flagbearear, Peter Obi, presented GCE, while his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, presented a PhD degree.
However, both Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, and his running mate, Bishop Isaac Idahosa, presented only First School Leaving Certificates
