RCCG Launches Maiden International Christian Film Festival In April
The RCCG Creative Christian Content Department (RCCCD) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God says it has officially opened global calls for the submission of films for its first International Film Festival scheduled for April 30th to May 1st, 2026.
A member of the organising committee and a veteran filmmaker, Olufemi Bolorunde said to the press that the 21st of March 2026 is the deadline for the submission of films.
According to Pastor Bolorunde, the Redeemer’s International Christian Film Festival (RICFF) venue is the Redemption City of God, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
RICFF 2026 is the maiden edition of the event and is scheduled to be held along with the global conference of the RCCG Christian Content Creative Department from April 27th to May 1st, 2026.
The Christian Film Festival is a global celebration of Christian storytelling, bringing together filmmakers from around the world to share inspiring, faith-driven films that promote Christian values as well as provide a platform for creative expressions of faith, showcasing films that explore themes of hope, redemption, love, and morality.
The deputy festival director emphasised that RICFF is dedicated to celebrating the powerful role of creative content in spreading the Gospel.
He also said it is designed as a premier gathering of filmmakers, producers, actors, creative entrepreneurs, investors, and media professionals across Nigeria and the diaspora.
The festival according to him, will feature curated film screenings, industry masterclasses, panel discussions, networking sessions, and a prestigious awards ceremony, with a projected attendance of about 1,500 participants and over 100,000 digital media impressions, including coverage on Dove TV of RCCG.
Olufemi Bolorunde said the categories for the maiden film festival submission are: Feature Films (31+ mins), Short Films, Documentaries, Animation (2D, 3D & AI), Musical Videos & Visual Worship, Series/Episodic (Web & TV), Student Films, and Recorded Stage Drama.
