Remi Tinubu congratulates Super Falcons for 10th WAFCON title, salutes indomitable Nigerian spirit of the team
Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has sent a congratulatory message to the Super Falcons following their historic triumph at the just-concluded WAFCON.
The victory, which was achieved at the expense of the host nation, Morocco, where the Nigeria side came back from two goals down to win with a 3:2 scoreline, made it the 10th time the Super Falcons have won the title.
The proud First Lady, in her message, wrote, “I celebrate you, our beautiful and lovely Super Falcons for the landmark victory of your 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations championship.”
She went on to say the trophy is not just another one but a testament to the team’s hard work, consistency, and the indomitable Nigerian spirit.
