The Forward With Buhari Team said it
has become a matter of compulsion to clear the air of the foul commentaries the
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is presently spreading because of its probable
receipt of imminent defeat.
In a press release signed by the
Secretary, Forward With Buhari, Kayode Ajulo,he said that President Muhammadu
Buhari and the All Progressive Congress, APC, stand for impartiality as the
conduct of the 2019 general elections is concerned.
The Statement further reads; “That
said, to say that all parties’ situation centers as well as ours have the full
result of the election as collated from 36 States of the Federation and FCT
will amount to a statement of fact, but we as law abiding entity are restrained
from making same public due to existing statutes and regulations.
“For the avoidance of doubts, we
served below without violating the law, an objective overview of what obtains
for the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, APC and All Progressive
Party, APC, respectively.
“Atiku seemingly won in the whole of
South East (Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi, Abia, Imo) though PMB also managed to
garner enough votes across the zone. In the South West (Lagos, Ogun, Oyo,
Ekiti, Ondo, Osun) apart from Ondo and Oyo, PMB cleared the rest with a wide
margin.
“In the North Central (Benue, Kwara,
FCT, Nassarawa, Niger, Kogi, Plateau), North West (Kano, Katsina, Kebbi,
Sokoto, Zamfara) and North East (Yobe, Taraba, Gombe, Adamawa, Borno, Bauchi)
PMB got substantial votes in all.
“South South ( Rivers, Cross Rivers,
Delta, Bayelsa, Edo, Akwa-Ibom) is the home of PDP Atiku apart from Edo where
two parties are in strong contention.
“For President Muhammadu Buhari, the
election in the South West cleared the whole of South East while that of North
Central cleared that of South South.
“North West and North East is the
determine factor. These zones is where APC President Buhari finally nailed the
PDP Atiku with a wide margin. At the end, APC President Buhari stands a good
chance of being declared winner over Atiku of the PDP – a graphic portrayal we
all can take to the bank, anyday.
“Besides the said respective party
performances, we have it on good authority that, the PDP had, much earlier in
confidence conceded defeat with the party already tipping Bukola Saraki – who
had lost senatorial elections – for 2023 presidential candidate.
“On the strength of the foregoing
facts, we strongly advise the PDP in the interim to refrain from rejecting
result that they have (in confidence) acknowledged. In good spirit too, we
advise the PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, GCON to do the needful
by picking his phone to congratulate his President, Muhammadu Buhari and close
this imbroglio as some elements in his party, APC are warned to desist from
forum shopping for injunction to abort the release of the election results in
Courts.
“And considering also the truism
that every election must produce a winner and loser, we believe that it is more
honourable for the PDP to toe the path of peace without compromising our
country’s security and integrity, the statement concluded.
