National leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has certainly given Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu the nod to vie for a second term in office with two fingers gesture on Sunday.
There has been apprehension over Sanwo-Olu’s second term with many not sure if he will get the ticket. Lots of consultations are being done underground to ensure the governor gets a second term.
But on Sunday, at the novelty football match in honour of Tinubu at 70, the former governor was seen endorsing Sanwo-Olu’s second term with two fingers in both his hands raised.
The duo were ostensibly elated, especially Sanwo-Olu who has been championing the presidential ambition of Tinubu.
Moreover, lots of consultations had been to woo members of the Governors’ Advisory Council, in Lagos to get Sanwo-Olu the ticket.
The governor is seen as not being over-ambitious like his predecessor, Akinwunmi Ambode who was kicked out from having a second term ticket.
