President Bola Tinubu has approved the designation of the M18 road infrastructure in the Guzape District of Abuja in honour of novelist, Chinua Achebe.
The President announced this during his speech at the road’s inauguration on Saturday.
Olusegun Dada, President Tinubu’s Special Assistant on Social Media, disclosed the information via a post online.
He wrote: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Commissions the M18 road infrastructure in Guzape District of Abuja. Names road after Nigerian Novelist and Poet, late Professor Chinua Achebe.”
Recall that the President, recently named the Arterial Road N20 from Northern Parkway to Outer Northern Expressway (ONEX) in Abuja after playwright and Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka.
Professor Chinua Achebe passed away on March 21, 2013, in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
