Triangle News Media has entered a partnership with Oxford University to host the 2027 Face of Africa Leadership Award, marking the sixth edition of the ceremony. The event will bring together a gathering of African intellectual giants, drawn from government, business, academia, and the creative industries, for an evening dedicated to celebrating leadership and achievement across the continent.
The ceremony will hold on Thursday, 7th May 2027, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Oxford University Event Venue, 75 to 81 High Street, Oxford OX1 4BG, United Kingdom.
Now in its sixth year, the Face of Africa Leadership Award has grown into one of the continent’s most recognised platforms for honouring individuals whose work has shaped governance, enterprise, and culture across Africa and its diaspora. This year’s edition is themed “Africa’s Digital Renaissance: Leadership, Sovereignty, and the Rise of a New Civilizational Identity,” reflecting the continent’s growing influence in technology, innovation, and global affairs.
Speaking on the partnership, Publisher and CEO of Triangle News Media, Femi Salako, said,
“This partnership with Oxford University represents an important milestone for Triangle News Media and for the story we are telling about African leadership. Six editions in, this award has become a true gathering of African intellectual giants, men and women whose work continues to shape governance, enterprise, and culture on the continent. We are honoured to bring this year’s ceremony to Oxford, and we look forward to celebrating another class of distinguished honourees.”
