An Ikeja Election Petitions Tribunal, today, struck out an application challenging the victory of Hon Ibrahim Babajide Obanikoro (IBO), representing Eti-Osa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Recall that the election was first held on Saturday, 23rd February 2019 but entered into a rerun which held on Saturday 9th March, 2019.
Mr Tony Akala Bakare, a candidate of the PDP who ran against Obanikoro in the election had filed a motion seeking the reversal of Obanikoro’s victory.
However, the three-man panel who presided over the petition unanimously struck out the application for lacking merit.
