MESSAGE ON WORLD HEPATITIS DAY
On this World Hepatitis Day 2026, I join the global community in raising awareness about viral hepatitis and the urgent need to expand access to prevention, testing, treatment, and care.
This year’s theme, “Hepatitis: Let’s break it down,” reminds us of the need to increase our resolve to educate people about the disease. We should remove barriers that prevent people from accessing life-saving health services.
Together, we can reduce stigma, promote early diagnosis, and strengthen our commitment to eliminating hepatitis as a public health threat by 2030.
