YOUTHS SEEK PEACE AMONG APC MEMBERS IN SOMOLU

In an attempt to unite the aggrieved members of the APC in somolu local government after the outcome of the successful congress held recently across the ward and LGAs in Lagos State.  Youths in Somolu have called for peace among members of the ruling party. It was allege that some member’s loyal to Rotimi Olowo, member of Lagos House of Assembly and Hon. Bowale Sosinmi, Vice Chairman Somolu LG are not happy with the outcome of the congress which produced the current executives across the wards in Somolu, as well as the LGA.

The youth under the umbrella of Somolu youth Progressive forum made it known at a press conference held at the group secretariat. The youths appealed to Hon. Rotimi Olowo and his group to embrace peace and shun the use of violence among the youths. They appealed to him to employ honorable means to pursue his House of Representatives ambition and not cause division, particularly among the youths in the local government. They also advised Hon. Olowolayemo and his group to thread softly on the path of honor where majority of party members and leaders have endorsed.

The youth leader advised the aggrieved members of the party to learn from other LGAs who have put behind them all forms of differences and moved on with better plans for the party, reminding them of the onerous task of re-electing President Mohammadu Buhari and the performing Governor of the state, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode , as the major task ahead.

In a statement signed by the majority of the wards youth in Somolu LGA, the youth also called on Hon. Bowale Sosinmi, to support his boss, the Council Chairman, Somolu LGA, Hon Abduhamid Salawu a.k.a Dullar to deliver on the gains made by the state for the actualization of the dividends of democracy top both the party members and the electorates. The group also used the medium to appreciate the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the new state party chairman, Hon. Babatunde Balogun for their timely response and intervention to unite the aggrieved members through dialogue.

The group wants Hon. Olowo and his group to remember that no man is an island, and that it is the collective responsibility of the party members, particularly the youths that added colours to their political career and placed them in their exalted position.

Finally, the group also advised the youths in Somolu to desist from being used as political thugs, but to join party to vote for the candidate of their choice.
