As you read, classy and beautiful corporate guru, Tokunboh George-Taylor and her household will still be basking in the euphoria of the amazing thing God has done for them. Some days back, Tokunboh, wife of consummate banker, Akin George-Taylor added another year to hit the golden jubilee age and this expectedly put George-Taylor household, friends and well-wisher over the moon.
Perhaps for their quiet nature, Tokunboh and hubby didn’t embrace a carnival like celebration; however, they hosted a modest but classy and superb soiree to celebrate the flawless beautiful birthday girl. The celebration kick started with a thanksgiving service at Holy Trinity, Ikoyi, where the birthday girl and members of her family expressed gratitude to God for a great thing he has done for them. The train later moved to upscale event centre that was glamorously decorated where she had a reception and guests were treated to a great time.
With eye for detail and commitment to hardwork, Tokunboh has earned a prominent position in the public relation industry. She’s the Managing Director of Hill+Knowlton Strategies Nigeria, a global public relations company headquartered in New York.
She worked at Oando PLC for 14 years and during which she headed the Corporate Services, Corporate Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility divisions. Tokunbo started her career at Multichoice Nigeria Ltd. and served as Public Relations Manager. She worked as a Sales and Marketing Executive at Dialog Corporation (U.K) and Account Manager in Nelson Bostock Communications. She has extensive Public Relations, Advertising and Marketing experience in the Telecoms, Information Technology and Oil Sector. Tokunbo holds B.Sc in Economics from the University of Wisconsin, U.S.A and a Diploma in Business System Analysis and Design from the City University of London.
