Among several social events that took place in Lagos recent days, one which undoubtedly has remained subject of discussion among those who are privy to it is that which was held at the instance of Ogun state born oil baron, Dapo Abiodun, and the reason why the event has remained on the lip of many is no other, but the fact that it was lavish nature and had an incredible turn out of super big boys that cannot but make the party pass for pace setting.

Managing director of flourishing business concern, Heyden Oil and Gas, Dapo, added another year to becoming fifty seven years and he had his newly built luxury lounge billed to be declared opened, on this heel, all roads led to location of the lounge somewhere in Ikoyi for the commissioning of the upscale lounge and of course to celebrate the host’s newly added year. On the intimidating roll call at the lavish gig are Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekit State, Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwabo of Gombe, Skymit boss, Tayo Ayeni, former NDDC boss, Timi Alaibe, city business man, Willie Anumudu, Fidelity bank boss, Nnamdi Okonkwo. Also on the list are flamboyant Aare Ona Kakanfo of Owu Kingdom, Prince Bolu Akin-Olugbade, heir of Folawiyo dynasty, Tunde, Sifax boss, Taiwo Afolabi, solid mineral development minister, Kayode Fayemi, former Ekiti state governor, Otunba Niyi Adebayo and many more.  To say celebrating the double feat was a fun out of the world would amount to stating the obvious, as the deep pocket host ensured his high flying guests were given a treat of their lives. The exclusive lounge, 12 Temple Private, Ikoyi, is designed to cater for decision makers, private jet-flying business moguls wanting a whirligig of an evening in a cool and chic place.

Dapo, upon his return from overseas some years back, he pioneered and became known with dealing in remote controlled gate among such other items before moving into oil and gas business where he’s very much established. Also, Abiodun has attempted securing a seat in the upper chambers of the national assembly, but the attempts were futile. One open secret as regards his political partisanship at the moment is that he’s interested in succeeding Senator Ibikunle Amosun as the governor of Ogun state come 2019.
