The fragile peace and togetherness that existed in recent times in the Fuji music industry, days ago came under serious threat and another round of war loomed. This happened at the instance of perceived peace eroding statement credited to self-acclaimed Oganla of Fuji, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pauma. The famous singer, while fielding questions from news men about why he was not present at the house warming ceremony of another equally popular Fuji singer, Alhaji Sule Alao Malaika, had in a derogative manner, referred to Sule Alao as his boy.  His words, ‘Malaika is my colleague. He’s not my friend, he’s my boy’. He said.

Malaika

Watchers of the Fuji music industry will readily agree these words credited to Pasuma irked the anger of Malaika’s loyalists so much that it was clear it’s only a matter of time the issue would go out of hand and snowball into a serious issue in the industry. However, apparently to douse the tension which this issue has generated, Pasuma, who is presently in the United States of America to continue the celebration of his golden jubilee birthday anniversary, may have withdrew his words as well as apologized. In a video posted on his Instagram page, Oganla of Fuji, while he expressed his apology  for his action, he said he was doing what he did, (The video) because he did not want to end year 2017 with any controversy and that he never meant to cause any trouble by calling Malaiki his boy. He therefore said he was sorry if his statement was the source of the recent trouble in the industry. He also specifically appealed to the fans of Malaika to calm their frayed nerves as he also appealed to his fans not to make trouble.  Pauma and Malaika, it will be recalled were friends before things went sour between them for reasons best known to them, therefore became enemies.  Meanwhile, it was an interesting episode for Fuji music industry lovers to have seen widely acclaimed king of music, another popular Fuji singer, Saheed Osupa, who was hitherto a parallel line to Sule Malaika, present at the house warming ceremony of Malaika.
